Transferring An Entire Event to a New Venue

If your event needs to move to a new venue or a newly created event, our team can transfer existing tickets so that customers do not need to repurchase them.


To complete this process, we need a few pieces of information from you so our engineering team can accurately map the existing tickets to the new event.


We also require at least a week's notice to verify the docs, prepare the tool, run tests, and complete the transfer.  Please note that tickets that have been transferred to a new event are not able to be refunded from the new event. The best practice is to alert guests and offer a refund window before transfer is complete.  


Information We Need From You

1. Original Event Link

Please provide the dashboard link to the original event where tickets were first sold.


2. Destination Event Link (if applicable)

Please provide the dashboard link to the destination event where tickets should be transferred.

This should be the newly created event where customers will ultimately attend.


Ticket Transfer Template

Please complete the following template so we can correctly transfer tickets.

To use the template:

  1. Open the template link

  2. Select File

  3. Click Make a Copy

  4. Fill out the sheet with the required information

  5. Share the completed document with our team


Fill Out the Template

Use the Attendees tab export to find the information you need to complete the template.

  1. Click Attendees
  2. Find the Export button
  3. Download the Export All Tickets option
  4. Filter down to just the information you need to transfer to the template doc
  5. The engineers only need the barcodes, but it is helpful for our team to have a bit more detail when troubleshooting purchases, duplicate destination seats, etc. so you can include as much details as you'd like                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Important Fields in the Template

The template contains several color-coded fields that help us process the transfer.

Green Fields (Found in Attendees Tab from Original Event)

The barcode attached to each ticket is the most important piece of information required for the transfer.

This barcode uniquely identifies each ticket in our system and allows us to recreate it in the destination event.

While other information is useful in helping organize the data, the barcode must be included for each ticket.


Orange Fields (Must Match the Destination Event Exactly)

The orange fields identify where the ticket should be placed in the destination event.

These fields must be entered exactly as they appear in the destination event, including capitalization and spacing.

Please provide the following information:

  • Destination Price Level Name

  • Destination Section (if applicable)

    • Example: Reserved Seating, Section A, Pit

  • Destination Row

    • Example: Row A, 5

  • Destination Seat

    • Example: Seat 1,  15,  21-OV, 8ADA

These names must match the destination event exactly so our system can correctly map the transferred tickets.


Once the Template is Complete

After the template is filled out:

  1. Share the completed Google Sheet with our team

  2. Provide the original event link

  3. Provide the destination event link

Our engineering team will then process the ticket transfer.
