Overview
By default, Prekindle accounts are set up on Prekindle's merchant account to process payments for your events. If you want ticket sales to be deposited directly into your own merchant account, you can update your payment settings to use your own payment processor.
Switching from Prekindle's processing to your own Stripe account is available, but may require coordination with your account representative. If you have not created any events, you can make the switch yourself from your account preferences. Please contact clients@prekindle.com if your account is already approved or you have already created events on your Prekindle dashboard.
I have not created any events yet
- Navigate to your account preferences.
- Click the option Merchant Account
- Enter the required information.
- Publishable Key
- Secret Key
- Statement Descriptor
- Ensure your payment and billing information is entered and accurate
I have active events and need to switch now
- Contact your client representative at clients@prekindle.com and let them know you are making the transition.
What to expect when your own merchant account is used for credit card processing
- Funds now come directly to you, on your merchant provider's schedule
- Your merchant provider will deduct their own fees, sometimes per batch, sometimes monthly
- We now charge you for our fees weekly
- We now charge you for Print & Mail fees weekly
- You now file your own Texas sales tax return and remit taxes collected to the State
- Any outstanding balance held by paid by Prekindle on the original schedule.
- The pricings for all of your existing events will be modified and adjusted to the new fee structure so your events and reporting will be affected. We recommend you review all pricings and automations after the switch is made to ensure accuracy and update where needed.
